Located near the former peat colonies of Helenaveen and Griendtsveen, Natuurpoort de Peel gives access to the Deurnsche Peel, a unique wetland area on the border of North Brabant and Limburg. An area where you can relax in nature. Here you can enjoy a varied landscape of ponds, plains, woods and sand ridges where numerous special plants grow.
In the immediate vicinity are various walking and cycling routes, well signposted via the junction system. An absolute must is the three-kilometre-long “Mussenkeetpad”, which leads right through the rugged Peel area. This footpath connects the Leegveld, the canals and Griendtsveen.
