Exploring the Peel

Located near the former peat colonies of Helenaveen and Griendtsveen, Natuurpoort de Peel gives access to the Deurnsche Peel, a unique marshland on the border of North Brabant and Limburg. An area where you can relax in nature. Here you will enjoy a varied landscape of ponds, plains, woods and sand ridges where numerous special plants grow.

WALKING AND BIKE ROUTES

An absolute must is the three-kilometre-long “Mussenkeetpad”, which leads right through the rugged Peel area. This footpath connects the Leegveld, the canals and Griendtsveen.

Besides the “Mussenkeetpad” path, there are many other walking and cycling routes in our area. These are all clearly signposted via the junction system and introduce everyone to the beautiful nature of Deurnsche Peel.
